What's the big idea?
Create and manufacture specialized products(solutions) for children with disabilities; beginning with a hand operated mobility device for children to have recreational fun with friends and family.
One of our current Solutions is HandiWheelz:
HandiWheelz is a joystick and remotely controlled ride on car designed for kids who live with paraplegia and accident related injuries not allowing for the functional use of their legs, handiWheelz allows the child to ride and control using joystick or a separate wireless remote by a parent to override the vehicle.
Describe the nearest player in your field.
The nearest players in our field is currently Fisher Price for the development of ride on vehicles and Spinlife who develops wheel chairs for children.
How are you different from that player?
Currently there are limited products that allow for recreation and easy outdoor travel for kids with disabilities. Capable Solutions will continue to find solutions to help kids with disabilities and make them more handiCapable.
How's the world different with your idea in it?
Parents, support centers, and doctors now bring ideas to Capable Solutions to invent and create a product that help specific individuals, but also all those who have the same or similar disabilities. The world is becoming less handicapped and more handiCapable.
Why are you the one to run with this idea?
Our team has a background and education in engineering design, product development, and biomedical engineering. With a proven functional prototype and increasing consumer base and interest, Capable Solutions will develop products that make people more handiCapable.
