What's the big idea?
Paintware CRM (customer relationship management) is a web application built to help painting contractors run their business.
Painting contractors can: manage leads, schedule customer appointments, track payroll and expenses, create proposals and sign contracts with customers on a tablet device, and automatically send out emails as the customer moves through different stages of the sales process.
Describe the nearest player in your field.
Zoho.com is a CRM app that allows businesses the ability to track customers throughout the sales process.
How are you different from that player?
Most other CRM software is built for businesses “in general”. Nobody in the industry caters as well to painting contractors as Paintware CRM.
How does this idea scale into a big business?
Painting contractors are just the start. This product is extremely useful for any kind of residential construction contractor (roofers, window installers, tile installers, etc).
Why are you the one to run with this idea?
I am part techie and part painter. I will be graduating from MSU in May with $184,000.00 in sales under my belt as a residential painting contractor.
What is a $5,000 experiment you can do to move your idea forward?
$5,000 will develop a working prototype that will be distributed to over 2500 registered painting contractors in Michigan for validation.
