A Fast & Intuitive Shop Management System.Serving West Michigan Manufacturers.

What's the big idea?

The inspiration for Shopflow was born after watching a company spend over $40,000 on a system that was a burden to use.

Shopflow will help manufacturers save time and energy by applying Agile/Lean methodologies and common sense to their shop management workflow.

A web based system is currently in development that can be customized to meet the needs of individual manufacturers. As Shopflow matures there will be less need for customization, and customizations will become simpler.

Describe the nearest player in your field.

- Spreadsheets, which are typically used to keep a simple log of past jobs.
- E2 ShopTech is a very powerful but complicated system.

How are you different from that player?

The other systems either lack features, or are vastly over complicated.

Shopflow will be a full featured system that focuses on the total time/energy it takes to run a job through the system, without requiring every detail to be tracked.

How does this idea scale into a big business?

Our initial target area will be West Michigan, a manufacturing haven, with plans to expand.

Shopflow plans to offer a high level of customer support as well as customization & implementation. As Shopflow grows more teams will be needed to maintain close proximity to the businesses we serve.

Why are you the one to run with this idea?

It’s my passion to create a better shop management system.

Ten+ years of experience working with the manufacturing industry and four+ years developing software has given me a wide variety of experiences and connections. I am ready to use my passion, experience, and connections to create Shopflow.

What is a $5,000 experiment you can do to move your idea forward?

We would test the desirability of Shopflow by securing monetary commitments from 3-5 diverse manufacturers to build a Minimum Viable Product.

With the $5,000 we would be able to refine our Solution Hypothesis, and offer it to local manufacturers.

Looking forward to exploring ShopFlow as a production management tool for reconditioning used industrial pumps. Most of what we’ve reviewed out there is an awkward fit for our needs. best of luck!
