TENDEN Michigan made

Clothing and accessories, hand crafted entirely in Michigan. Quality goods to withstand time. tenden.us.com

What's the big idea?

My idea is to take what i am making here in grand haven, michigan to the next level. I have been designing, making, and selling clothes for about 5 years. All over the USA, and about a dozen other countries. I am looking for help in building a website that will keep up with the competive market, funds to put together a large enough collection to travel to trade shows, and maybe even open up a brick and mortar store here in the midwest.

Describe the nearest player in your field.

Noble Denim out of cinncinati is comparable.

How are you different from that player?

I watch these companies grow, and eventually out source. I would like to keep all production in Michigan. I also make a wider variety of items.

How does this idea scale into a big business?

I believe in building the quality product on a larger scale once the demand is there. Requiring 10-20 employees to fulfill the need.

Why are you the one to run with this idea?

I am the owner and designer, and actually the only employee. I have had 2 interns help here in there, mostly with marketing.

What is a $5,000 experiment you can do to move your idea forward?

Build a solid website, and create a collection to take to regional trade shows.

Todd Hancock wants to take his Clothing business to the next level. It might not be what Start Garden looks for and yet DeVos and his staff could use a Tenden clothing wardrobe to look hipper & more zeitgeisty. We love Todd and yet he could use a good swim in the shark’s tanks, which is what winning the first Five Grand guarantees. It’s great business education to vote so Todd gets it!

Just as an FYI, the URL below your biz description is not working.  Is it supposed to be Tenden.us as opposed to tenden.us.com?

I endorsed Todd! Ian in Alaska

Todd is amazing! I fully support his local mind set. His goods are truly one of a kind made in the mitten.

100% supporting this. I’ve seen his line of clothing and accessories, and it’s not your run of the mill type clothing you see everywhere. Unique, local, and smart! Go Todd!
