Virtual Yard Sign

Taken the yard sign concept, put it online w/Geolocated maps to connect contractors to homeowners. WWW.REGAINGO.COM

What's the big idea?

RegainGo has created a better way for homeowners to connect with contractors. Our patent pending “Virtual Yard Sign” helps contractors get noticed by the quality of their work. RegainGo takes the well known concept of a yard sign and lets consumers see an entire geographic region of a contractor’s work. Homeowner searches in the RegainGo system are based on actual jobs - not a contractor’s business location, making it easy to determine the most important information that consumers look for when searching for services for their home.

Describe the nearest player in your field.

Angieslist, Homeadvisor, Red Beacon, Yellow Pages, physical yard signs on lawns, word-of-mouth, google search.

How are you different from that player?

We are not a directory like most of our competition. Instead, homeowners search a map of their home area and are shown all the contractors in the RegainGo system that have done work locally via before and after photos of the work. This content changes often unlike a directory listing which doesn’t.

How does this idea scale into a big business?

We are partnering with local association chapters that have national connections like NAHB and NARI. The local chapters of just these 2 organizations have in Michigan alone over 4,500 contractors. In Michigan there are 16,000+ association affiliated contractors overall and 500,000+ nationwide.

Why are you the one to run with this idea?

Founders have experience in dealing with contractors through their backgrounds in real estate. They’ve extensive experience in sales, marketing, website development, and finance. Raised $100,000+ so far to get website to its current stage and have over 350 contractors in the 1st 30 days.

What is a $5,000 experiment you can do to move your idea forward?

It would be used to develop the reviews section for the Virtual Yard Sign, so that homeowners can leave reviews for contractors on the Virtual Yard Signs after a job has been completed. The money would also allow for homeowners to be able to store and share their favorite contractors. (See Photos)
